Madison sheriff hopefuls spot pits county vs. county

MADISON — A political advertisement – not allowed under company policy – appeared on the 17 screens at the Malco Grandview over the weekend, sparking a controversy before it was pulled.

The ad belongs to Mark Sandridge, one of five Republican candidates for Madison County sheriff.

It shows a road dividing Hinds and Madison counties. The announcer says one side represents “one of the most violent cities in the nation,” while “our side represents one of the most desirable communities in America to raise families.”
