Updates From Dennis & Bryant Campaigns
The Phil Bryant campaign recently sent out an email with a note from former GOP Chairman Jim Herring on why he is supporting Bryant’s gubernatorial campaign:
“In 2001, Lieutenant Governor Bryant (then serving as State Auditor) was the only Republican holding statewide office in Mississippi. All of the others from the Governor to the Agriculture Commissioner were Democrats. Consequently, in addition to the members of our outstanding Congressional delegation at the time, State Auditor Bryant was our “go-to guy” when the Mississippi Republican Party needed someone to speak at major or minor Republican events held across the state, through which the Party raised money to stay afloat and grow its organization.
