Wicker and Cochran fight EPA’s war on dust
On the surface, it seems kind of silly.
The Environmental Protection Agency wants to control a substance that has been part of the Earth since its formation: dust.
It’s an impossible task, right? Dust is just something we live with. And this is just another one of those heavy-handed attempts by a federal regulatory agency to put more controls on citizens.
Thirty-two U.S senators, including Mississippi’s Thad Cochran and Roger Wicker, have joined in signing a letter urging EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson to exercise “common sense” when deciding whether to propose new National Ambient Air Quality Standards for coarse particulate matter — dust.
