Madison supe may challenge Central Transportation commissioner Dick Hall

Tim Johnson hasn’t ruled out challenging Dick Hall for Central District Transportation Commissioner, he said this week.

In his second-term, Johnson, the District 2 Madison County supervisor, has made it widely known for months that he has no plans to run for re-election, but there has been broad speculation about what he will do next.

Johnson said an announcement could come as early as next week and that running for Central District Transportation Commissioner was something he is considering – among other things.

“And one of those things is staying home,” he said with a hearty laugh.
