March to protest Mississippi immigrant bills
The Mississippi Immigrants Rights Alliance is staging a march and news conference Wednesday to protest efforts to change state immigration laws.
Participants will gather at 10 a.m. at MIRA’s Jackson office, 612 N. State St., for an informational meeting and will march to the state Capitol at noon.
MIRA will hold a news conference at 12:15 p.m. in the Capitol rotunda and meet with legislators at 1 p.m.
