Barbour concerned about diplomat pat-down
JACKSON — Gov. Haley Barbour said he has spoken with India’s ambassador to the U.S. and expressed concern on behalf of his state for the pat-down she received by airport security Dec. 4 in Jackson.
Barbour said Friday he assured Ambassador Meera Shankar he has discussed the issue with U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano and the Transportation Security Administration.
