State cars, phones targeted for savings
JACKSON — State senators want to know why administrative assistants should be allowed to drive official vehicles to and from work and whether Mississippi’s public employees have too many taxpayer-funded mobile phones.

Some of those vehicles may be driven by people who have no need to take them home daily, he said.
