Conservative Republican Steven Palazzo out raised Gene Taylor 2:1 and raised $311,784.50 in the third quarter of campaign reporting. The campaign announced a cash on hold total of $203,581.81 and have raised $501,593.50 to date.
This is further evidence that the voters of South Mississippi are ready for fresh, new, bold leadership. The voters understand that I’ll go up to Washington and do something Gene Taylor fundamentally can’t do. I’ll stand up to the Pelosi Democrats and fight to keep taxes low, said Palazzo.
“The results come at little surprise. Gene Taylor has walked the line for Nancy Pelosi’s agenda and supports tax hikes and more spending during an economic recession. The voters disagree with his policies and his willingness to stand by while Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi force their dangerous agenda onto the American people. This fundraising performance sends a clear message to President Obama, Speaker Pelosi, and Congressman Taylor that the people of South Mississippi are ready for real conservative leadership,” said Hunter Lipscomb a campaign spokesman.
