“Today I sent a letter to Mississippi Attorney General Jim Hood requesting him to file suit on behalf of the people of Mississippi for violation of their constitutional rights,” said Lt. Governor Phil Bryant. “This massive federal health care overhaul will not only disenfranchise our rights to choose health care but will also add $1.3 billion and 400,000 new people onto the Mississippi Medicaid roll, over the next 10 years. The 10th Amendment protects states from an overbearing federal government. It is time we exercise those rights.”
