DJ – Z. Scruggs released from federal custody
David Zachary “Zach” Scruggs, 35, appears to be free from U.S. Bureau of Prisons custody after serving a 14-month sentence for knowing about a felony but failing to report it.
Zach, the son of disgraced ex-attorney Richard “Dickie” Scruggs of Oxford, reportedly was released from a half-way house transition program in Tupelo on Wednesday. He served the first part of his sentence in a Montgomery, Ala., minimum security facility.
The BOP Web site lists him as “released” Aug. 19 but his new status wasn’t posted until today.
