Mark Seepe Pleads Guilty to Rankin County Charges

Jackson, MS-Former Jackson crematorium owner, Mark Seepe, has pled guilty to Rankin County charges against him for mis-using money from customers who pre-paid for services, announced Attorney General Jim Hood today.

Seepe appeared before Rankin County Circuit Court William E. Chapman III this morning to face two counts of converting/embezzling funds that by law were to be placed in trust for benefit of customers who pre-paid for services (§75-63-59 and 75-63-69).

Judge Chapman sentenced Seepe to ten years on counts one and two consecutively, and then suspended the ten years in count two. After release, he will serve five years post release supervision where he must pay full restitution to the victims in the amount of $2,950 and court costs in the amount of $507.00, or $100 per month until all is paid. The sentence will run concurrent with the six counts that Seepe plead guilty to last week in Hinds County.
