Jackson’s Mayor Vows He Will Not Resign
The Mayor vowed he would not step down from office. “I’m not going to take any questions today. I will tell you I spent time with myself just really thinking about everything through. I feel in my heart I did the right thing. The right message has been sent and that has been going on for years and years and nobody has taken any action. Then he was asked, “Will you resign as part of a plea deal?” The Mayor shook his head and replied, “No, no, that is not even in the cards.”
