I’ve always been committed to recruiting new business and industry to our area, fighting for our hospitals and medical communities, supporting our city and county public schools, and generously backing many local charities. Everyone who knows me knows that I love southwest Mississippi. Friends, we need proven leadership and strong conviction now more than ever. The election for this vacated seat will take place September 22nd, and I need your vote and support,” said Sones in the post.

The qualifying deadline for the race was set to August 3rd and the special election will be held on September 22.
