RGA Statement on Inauguration of Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves

By: Frank Corder - January 14, 2020

The Republican Governors Association (RGA) today released the following statement from RGA Chairman Texas Governor Greg Abbott on the inauguration of Tate Reeves as the next governor of Mississippi:

“On behalf of America’s Republican governors, I congratulate Tate Reeves on his inauguration as the 65th governor of the great State of Mississippi. Governor Reeves is a dynamic, policy-driven leader who is ready to hit the ground running and deliver real results for the citizens of his state.

“Tate has devoted most of his career to serving the people of the Magnolia State, and there is no one more qualified to move Mississippi forward toward an even brighter future. The RGA was honored to support his election, and we look forward to his participation in the RGA as the country’s newest Republican governor.

“I also speak for the RGA and all of my colleagues when I express our heartfelt gratitude to Governor Phil Bryant for his eight years of strong, steady, and compassionate leadership for the people of Mississippi, and for providing a shining example of service and integrity.”

Release from RGA.
