Lt. Gov. Tate Reeves makes statement on increasing access to the ESA Program #msleg

By: Sarah Ulmer - January 30, 2018

The Senate Education Committee took up a bill, SB 2623 that would allow more students to have access to ESA scholarships.

This is Lt. Gov. Tate Reeves statement:

“Parents deserve to choose the best classroom environment to meet their children’s needs,” Lt. Gov. Tate Reeves said. “Increasing access to Educational Savings Accounts increases the possibilities for Mississippi children.

“Senate Bill 2623, expanding eligibility for the state’s successful ESA program, could have more impact on long-term economic progress than any other bill debated in the Legislature. We have a long way to go to secure enough votes in the House of Representatives, but today’s action moves us one step closer to making this a reality.”
