Longtime lawmaker Bennett Malone dies
Longtime former state lawmaker Bennett Malone has died after a lengthy illness, his wife and House sources said Sunday morning.
He was 73.
Malone, a Democrat, held the House District 45 seat serving parts of Leake, Neshoba, Rankin and Scott counties, for 36 years. He was a former cattle farmer and businessman from Carthage.
