JACKSON, Miss. (WTOK) – Some people in Mississippi are talking about how the U.S. Senate race in Alabama could impact a potential Chris McDaniel versus Roger Wicker race here in Mississippi next year.
“I think people are going to start looking at Mississippi pretty soon. Then, of course if McDaniel announces, a lot of attention will be heading our way,” said Kenneth Townsend, Millsaps political science professor.
Townsend says the groundwork for a potential Wicker versus McDaniel race is being laid.
