Mississippi officials attend annual Southeast US-Japan Conference

Mississippi officials, including Tupelo mayor, meet with Japan officials

JACKSON – Tupelo Mayor Jason Shelton is among the Mississippi officials participating this week in the 40th annual Southeast US-Japan Conference in Greenville, South Carolina.

The annual conference is viewed as important to protect and grow economic development activities between Southeastern states and Japan….

…Gov. Phil Bryant and Mississippi hosted the annual meeting in Biloxi in 2013. It is hosted every other year in Japan.

“The SEUS-Japan annual meeting is the perfect opportunity to grow our partnership,” Bryant said.
