Congressman Trent Kelly receives nod as brigadier general-select by U.S. Senate
WASHINGTON (WTVA) — Congressman Trent Kelly could soon hold the rank of brigadier general with the U. S. Army Reserve.
The U. S. Senate confirmed Kelly and several others for the rank recently.
Kelly is the commanding officer of the 168th Engineer Brigade based in Vicksburg….
…“Colonel Kelly ‘has received’ a certificate of eligibility for brigadier general from the U.S. Senate,” the statement said, “but will not receive a promotion unless he is selected for a brigadier general position that is vacant.”
