Palazzo Statement on Supreme Court Nominee
Washington, DC – Congressman Steven Palazzo (MS-4) released a statement today after President Trump announced his nomination of Judge Neil Gorsuch to serve on the United States Supreme Court:
“I fully support President Trump’s nomination of Judge Neil Gorsuch to serve on the United States Supreme Court. Judge Gorsuch is extremely qualified and based on his record, capable of upholding our United States Constitution. Some people have even gone as far as to say he is more conservative than Judge Scalia on certain matters. Gorsuch has big shoes to fill, but I am confident in his ability to serve sensibly.
The Senate should move swiftly and with vigor to confirm Gorsuch. If the democrats want to hinder this process, I urge Majority Leader McConnell to invoke the nuclear option to insure his confirmation, just as Harry Reid did in 2013.”
