House votes to name building after Nunnelee
JACKSON – The state House, without a dissenting vote Tuesday, opted to name the Department of Environmental Quality building after Alan Nunnelee of Tupelo, who served in both the Mississippi Senate and U.S. House before dying in 2015.
The legislation would name the state building located in downtown Jackson as the Patrick Alan Nunnelee Building.
The legislation now goes to the Senate where two bills are pending that would accomplish the same goal.
