Longwitz, O’Neal battle for judge post

Former state Sen. Will Longwitz says being a Madison County Court judge is his calling.

His challenger, attorney Staci O’Neal of Madison, says it’s not a political thing with her, but rather a call to service.

On Tuesday, Longwitz and O’Neal battle it out at the polls in a special election for the County Court judge post vacated by Steve Ratcliff after he was elected in November 2015 to the newly created circuit judge position for Madison and Rankin Counties.
