Mississippi lawmakers honor slain MBN agent, wounded troopers
“Many of us know the pain of loss, and our hearts go out to you,” Speaker of the House Philip Gunn said.
Gunn became choked up while honoring Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics Agent Lee Tartt, who was killed in February during a shootout in Tishomingo County. Three Mississippi Highway Patrol troopers – Bubba Holifield, DeAndra Dixon and Trea Staples — who were injured in the shooting were also honored.
