Group of Mississippi lawmakers supports Trump
Fillingane and Monsour said the other leading Republican candidates are career politicians while Trump is a proven business leader.
Fillingane said Trump also has the best chance of winning the presidency.
Both Fillingane and Monsour said they have talked to their constituents, and Trump is also their favored candidate.
Other state representatives behind Trump include Becky Currie of Brookhaven, Margaret Rogers of New Albany, Gary Chism of Columbus, Charles Busby of Pascagoula, Jeff Hale of Nesbit, Randy Patterson of Biloxi, and Gary Staples of Laurel.
