Presidential hopeful Bush in Starkville for Egg Bowl
Presidential candidate and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush plans to be in Starkville on Saturday for the Egg Bowl between Mississippi State and Ole Miss.
Austin Barbour of Mississippi, a senior adviser to the Bush campaign, said Bush plans to do some tailgating and “work The Junction” before the game. Barbour said Bush will return to Mississippi on Dec. 7 for a Jackson fundraiser.
“It’s an opportunity to spent time with tens of thousands of supporters and potential supporters,” Barbour said. “People in Mississippi know Jeb. They know what he did for this state after Katrina, sending his top recovery people to help after Katrina hit. They’re familiar with what he did as governor in Florida.”
