COS Smith to oversee Bryant’s second term transition

Gov. Phil Bryant Tasks Chief of Staff Lucien Smith with Directing Second Term Transition

JACKSON—Gov. Phil Bryant has directed chief of staff Lucien Smith to additionally direct the governor’s transition to his second term in office. Announcements regarding appointments and other administrative details will be made over the coming months.

“I have been honored to lead a state that has accomplished remarkable things over the past four years, and I am grateful for the opportunity to work hard for Mississippians for another term,” Gov. Bryant said. “Working together, we will continue to achieve great things in this state.”

Gov. Phil Bryant was elected by a wide margin to a second term as governor on Nov. 3, 2015.
