Mississippi Truckers Back Lt. Gov. Tate Reeves
The Mississippi Trucking Association today endorsed Lt. Gov. Tate Reeves’ bid for re-election.
The MTA represents many of the trucking companies as well as thousands of truck drivers across Mississippi.
“Trucking companies want the ability to invest in their companies and boost trade in our state, and Tate’s conservative ideas are just what we need,” said MTA Chairman John Stomps, president of Total Transportation in Richland. “Mississippi truckers are with Tate Reeves for the long haul.”
Lt. Gov. Reeves supported policies to encourage business owners to add jobs and grow their companies. He has supported efforts to make Mississippi more competitive with others states. He has established a strong fiscal foundation for state government with a balanced budget and full Rainy Day Fund.
“The trucking industry is vital to Mississippi’s economic success,” Lt. Gov. Reeves said. “They keep products moving from Biloxi to Southaven and beyond. I appreciate their support as we continue to build a strong, thriving economy.”
