LUCRETIA JOHNSON OF ROSEDALE COMPLETES SENATE INTERNSHIP WITH COCHRAN

Delta State Graduate Student Worked Spring Semester in Cochran’s Washington Office

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Thad Cochran (R-Miss.) today commended LuCretia Johnson, a Delta State University graduate student, for successfully completing a semester-long internship in his Washington office.

Johnson, a native of Rosedale, is pursuing a master’s degree in healthcare administration at Delta State, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and pre-medicine in 2014. A graduate of West Bolivar High School, Johnson is the daughter of Maesee Johnson of Rosedale and the late Marvin Johnson.

During her internship that began in January, Johnson assisted Cochran’s staff in a variety of areas, including constituent service, correspondence, legislative research and press. The Cochran internship program is designed to give young Mississippi students a firsthand opportunity to experience the federal legislative process and the operation of a U.S. Senate office.
