Rumored, running or out for First Congressional District
Public Service Commissioner Brandon Presley said Tuesday, Feb. 11, that he is not running. He would have been the Democrat’s best hope for the seat and an instant front-runner. (See earlier post.)
Tupelo Mayor Jason Shelton told me during the Mississippi Municipal League convention in Jackson that he was not running. A rising Democratic star, Shelton would have been an interesting candidate because he has proven that he can win in a GOP-heavy area.
