Governor Phil Bryant will also be in attendance, as well as many other Mississippi GOP elected officials. The purpose of the event is to raise funds for the MSGOP’s efforts to maintain the majority in both houses of the legislature, support the reelection of our Republican statewide elected officials and help elect Republican candidates across the state.
The event will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, December 8, 2014, at the Old Capitol Inn located at 226 North State Street in downtown Jackson. Ticket information can be found at www.msgop.org/victory-lunch or you may email victorylunch@msgop.org. For further inquiries, call the Mississippi Republican Party Headquarters at 601-948-5191. “We’re excited to host Senator Rand Paul in Mississippi,” Governor Phil Bryant said. “Senator Paul has been a persuasive voice for unifying and expanding the Republican Party. His message is simple and powerful: free people and strong communities can succeed where government cannot. I believe it’s a message that all Americans – from Massachusetts to Mississippi – can understand and support. And it’s his willingness to take that message across the country that will guarantee we have continued success in having our voices heard in Washington. Please join me in welcoming Senator Paul to the Magnolia State.”
“I look forward to welcoming my friend from Kentucky, Senator Rand Paul, to Jackson next month,” stated U.S. Senator Roger Wicker. “We need to ensure that our MSGOP nominees have the resources to achieve victory in 2015. I am confident that by working together as Republicans we can be successful in that endeavor.”
Senator Rand Paul talked about coming to Mississippi saying, “The American people sent a clear message to those in Washington, the days of illegal executive actions are over, and the American people expect us to work together and get things done. I look forward to traveling to Mississippi and continuing to grow our party.”
Chairman Joe Nosef said, “A year ago not many people believed the Republican Party nationally and in our state could end the year stronger than we began it. But here we are – stronger, more resilient and determined than ever to maintain our hard-fought victories. And most importantly, we are unified. Senator Rand Paul exemplifies a growing but unified party as much as anyone. We are grateful that he is coming to Mississippi to help the MSGOP.”
