McDaniel campaign manager and state Sen. Melanie Sojourner has been in the news recently for not filing her campaign financial report. It now appears that isn’t the only financial filing she’s delinquent on…
According to the Mississippi Ethics Commission website, Sojourner did not file her 2012 statement of economic interest. Prior years 2010, 2011, and 2013 are listed as being filed.
Failing to file could result is a hefty penalty. As noted on the site, “Anyone who fails to file within one year of the applicable deadline or who knowingly fails to disclose required information is guilty of a crime and can be fined up to $10,000.”
