NRA endorses Steven Palazzo in 4th Congressional District Republican primary
The National Rifle Association has endorsed Rep. Steven Palazzo, R-Biloxi, in the June 3 Republican primary in the 4th Congressional District of Mississippi, according to a news release.
Based on Palazzo’s voting record on Second Amendment issues in the U.S. House of Representatives, he has earned an “A” rating from the NRA. The “A” rating is reserved for solidly pro-gun legislators who steadfastly support the Second Amendment.
“I’m pleased and proud to receive this endorsement and rating from the NRA. I have consistently opposed attempts to ban lawfully-owned firearms and magazines,” said Palazzo. “I continue to stand strong against President Obama’s gun control agenda.”
Palazzo is currently a co-sponsor of HR 2959, the National Right-to-Carry Reciprocity Act of 2013. This bill would allow anyone with a valid, concealed firearms permit to carry a concealed handgun in any state that issues its own residents permits to carry concealed firearms, rather than seeking permission on a state-by-state basis.
