Dates you need to know as the Mississippi Legislature convenes 2014 regular session Tuesday
Mississippi lawmakers will return to work next week to begin their three-month regular session.
The Legislature will convene Tuesday at noon.
The deadline for introducing general bills and constitutional amendments — appropriation, revenue and local and private bills excluded — is Jan. 20.
Lawmakers must meet a Feb. 13 deadline for original floor action on general bills in their own house, and the deadline for reconsideration and passage of general bills is Feb. 14.
