Wicker lauds Jennings’ leadership

U.S. Sen. Roger Wicker was the featured guest at a fund raiser for DeSoto County’s ranking lawmaker at the State Capitol, State Rep. Wanda Jennings, R-Southaven, in Southaven on Tuesday.

Wicker lauded Jennings’ leadership, patriotism and her devotion to the state’s military personnel.

“It’s so nice to have someone who knows you and hears your voice,” said Mittie Green, a Jennings supporter, who attended Tuesday night’s fund raiser at the home of Denise Pratt in Southaven. “Wanda and I go way back to PTA and Greenbrook Elementary School.”

Green said it’s Jennings support of veterans that has won her admiration and support.
