City of Jackson refuses to release incident report from state senator’s DUI arrest
The city of Jackson is rejecting The Clarion-Ledger’s (http://on.thec-l.com/19fY1JV ) request for the incident report following last month’s arrest of state Sen. John Horhn on a DUI charge.
Mississippi law says incident reports are public.
The move comes after WAPT-TV obtained the document, which indicates the Jackson Democrat shouted at the officer who arrested him.
WAPT reported that among other things, Horhn yelled, “Do you know who I am? You are going to lose your job.”
Responding Tuesday to a Nov. 19 request, an assistant city clerk writes City Attorney Latrice Westbrook is withholding the report or any video because the case remains under investigation.
