As part of Mississippi Innovation Month, @MSInnovateEco (Mississippi Innovation Economy) will be hosting a Twitter Forum Tuesday, 11/5 from 7PM to 8PM on the topic of Broadband as an economic driver in Mississippi. The guest expert will be Jason Dean, head of the Mississippi Broadband Connect Coalition. Topics will include progress made by the Coalition so far, and future plans for ensuring that Mississippi becomes a leader in broadband access.
“Broadband opens up so many avenues that strengthen our economic development efforts and our standard of living,” said Dean. “From education, to job training, to healthcare and beyond, Mississippi is on the threshold of becoming a leader in broadband access, but there remains work to do.”
On Monday, 11/4, Digital Technology C Spire Wireless announced the Mississippi cities that are finalists in their “Get Fiber First” challenge. The focus on digital access both through wired and wireless connections is a key component of Mississippi Innovation Month.
