NUNNELEE: AN ENCOURAGING NIGHT IN THE PEOPLE’S HOUSE

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Following House passage of legislation to reopen national parks and provide funding for the National Institute of Health, Congressman Alan Nunnelee (R-Miss.) released a statement:

“Tonight was an encouraging bipartisan moment. Harry Reid and the White House may be willing to hold cancer research and the World War II Memorial hostage to score political points, but the People’s House is not. The next step should be ending the special Obamacare exemption for Congress and the Executive Branch.”

Congressman Alan Nunnelee represents Mississippi’s First Congressional District. He serves on the House Appropriations Committee and the House Budget Committee. This is his second term.
