Economic development announcement in Plantersville Today

Gov. Phil Bryant’s office and the Community Development Foundation in Tupelo will have an economic development announcement in Plantersville tomorrow.

The ceremony at 10 a.m. promises to be a pretty good one, considering the governor is going to be attending. His office doesn’t usually get involved with a small ribbon-cutting.

According to state Rep. Steve Holland, whose wife is Plantersville Mayor Gloria Holland, the announcement will be a furniture manufacturer from Alabama which will employ 125 to 150 people.

Holland said the manufacturer’s plant burned in Alabama, and wanted to relocate to Mississippi. He couldn’t remember the name of the company, however.
