Sen. Wicker discusses Washington politics
Mississippi’s congressional leaders are on break from Washington and back in the Magnolia State, but the recess hasn’t slowed the dirty politics.
An attack ad circulating online compares Sen. Roger Wicker to a chicken. The video ad is on the web site for the Tea Party Group “For America.”
“Senator Wicker, conservatives don’t need a chicken when it comes to Obamacare. Avoid the mess, be a leader who will fight to defund it now,” the video’s narrator said.
Wicker responded by saying the group doesn’t have the facts on their side. He said they actually have the same goal of repealing and replacing Obamacare, but Wicker says the group’s suggestion of a government shutdown isn’t the answer.
“It would cause a lot of havoc but it wouldn’t have any effect on the Obamacare act,” said Wicker.
