Bentz a finalist for SMPDD director job
Southern District Public Service Commissioner Leonard Bentz is among five finalists for the Southern Mississippi Planning and Development District’s executive director job.
An official with the group told The Sun Herald (http://bit.ly/11IVyrj ) Monday the group’s board of directors meets Wednesday in Gulfport to discuss the vacancy and Bentz is among the five being considering.
Bentz didn’t respond to the Sun Herald’s calls for comment Monday. The director job pays between $150,000 and $200,000 per year, depending on qualifications. His current pay is set in state law at $78,000 per year.
