Bryant participating in D.C. education forum
Gov. Phil Bryant on Tuesday, along with Govs. Susana Martinez of New Mexico and Jack Markell of Delaware will participate in an education forum in Washington, D.C.
Bryant will discuss his education reforms passed by the state Legislature earlier this year, including a program to intervene and help third graders struggling with reading.
The education forum, “Reading Milestones”, is hosted by the Washington Post and will focus on the importance of reading proficiently by the third grade. The forum will be webcast live at www.washingtonpostlive.com on Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at 9:30 a.m. Central Standard Time.
