Brandon Presley discusses ‘bizarre’ encounter with Paul Kevin Curtis

Paul Kevin Curtis, the man arrested Wednesday for sending letters containing the poisonous substance ricin to Sen. Roger Wicker and President Barack Obama, apparently traded Facebook messages with Mississippi Northern District Public Service Commissioner Brandon Presley the day the ricin letters were delivered.

Presley, who is related to Tupelo-born Elvis Presley, received a message from Curtis’ personal Facebook account Sunday and again Tuesday. Presley said he had never heard of or seen Curtis before the messages.

Curtis, who also works as an Elvis impersonator, first sent a message to Presley asking how he was related to Elvis Presley. Accustomed to the question, Presley said, he responded by explaining his grandfather, Noah Presley, and Elvis’ grandfather, Jesse Dee Presley, were brothers.
