Hits keep coming for Palazzo; Baria files resolution
U.S. Rep. Steven Palazzo of Biloxi continues to be excoriated nationally after he voted against relief aid for Hurricane Sandy victims (after he for years as a Biloxi housing official, state lawmaker, then congressman, has pushed for billions in federal relief for Hurricane Katrina).
On Wednesday, state Rep. David Baria, D-Bay St. Louis, filed a resolution urging Congress to help victims of Sandy. It would appear to be at least an indirect shot at Palazzo.
After being called everything but a gentleman after his vote against Sandy relief, including a blistering segment on The Daily Show, Palazzo has had a change of heart, saying he has toured the Sandy-striken area and he will push for the next round of funding for the area.
