NUNNELEE STATEMENT ON OCTOBER UNEMPLOYMENT REPORT
Congressman Alan Nunnelee (R-Miss) released the following statement in response to the latest Labor Department unemployment report:
“The unemployment rate is higher today than it was when Barack Obama took office. He told us if the stimulus passed unemployment would be 5.2% this month. It is 7.9%. The President’s policies have resulted in five trillion dollars in new debt, the weakest recovery since the Great Depression, and stagnant job creation. It is clearer than ever that we need a president who understands how the economy works.”
