Miss. congressional members outraise challengers
All of Mississippi’s congressional incumbents have raised more campaign cash than their challengers as they prepare for the Nov. 6 election.
The Federal Election Commission website shows Democratic Rep. Bennie Thompson of the Delta’s 2nd District is the only member of the Mississippi delegation who has received most of his campaign contributions from political action committees rather than from individual donors.
Republican Sen. Roger Wicker and all three Republicans in the House delegation — Alan Nunnelee in the northern 1st District, Gregg Harper in the central 3rd District and Steven Palazzo in the southern 4th District — received more from individual donors than from PACs.
