Senator Roger Wicker tours coast damage left by Isaac
U.S. Senator Roger Wicker traveled to the coast to witness Isaac’s aftermath.
Wicker saw hundreds of flooded homes in Picayune and other parts of Pearl River County Saturday. He also toured Hancock County Sunday.
Although Wicker says overall the system worked after lessons from Katrina, some local governments have been waiting seven years to be reimbursed by FEMA for services like debris removal.
Isaac poses similar situations, and Wicker says those concerns were shared with Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano.
