Jackson County GOP wants Romney billboard in Democratic convention city

The Jackson County Republican Club is seeking donations to buy a billboard in Charlotte, North Carolina, for 12 weeks in support of GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney.

Such a billboard costs about $9,000.

Why Charlotte? It is the setting for the upcoming 2012 Democratic National Convention “where liberals will be once again nominating Barack Obama for President of the United States, something the Jackson County Republican Club believes to not be in the best interest for the future of America.”

The club said its plan is to focus on swing states, such as North Carolina.

For more information or to make a donation, contact Frank Corder, Secretary of the Jackson County Republican Club, at 228-623-1236, or by email at frank@frankcorder.com.
