Pickering promises payment to citizens for Davis’ spending
Mississippi’s state auditor Stacey Pickering had some tough talk when it came to Southaven Mayor Greg Davis and the money Pickering says Davis owes the city. Pickering also defended Southaven’s
Board of Aldermen, saying he would have never audited Davis if it weren’t for board.
“The mayor pro temp Greg Guy publicly said he came to us, and other aldermen came to us and asked us to look into it.” said Pickering.
Pickering says despite what some residents believe, he thinks the board was duped.
“It was using the best info they had at the time.”, said Pickering.
