FEC reports show Mississippi incumbents’ spending, donations
Mississippi’s four incumbent congressmen have raised and spent more than $3 million so far in the 2012 election cycle.
The Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal reports (http://bit.ly/HT9rdA) that Federal Election Commission reports show 1st District U.S. Rep. Alan Nunnelee, R-Miss., has raised more than $1 million – a third of the total contributions to incumbents.
Third District Republican Gregg Harper has raised $555,046 in contributions. Democrat Bennie Thompson of District 2 and Republican Steven Palazzo of District 4 have split the rest almost evenly.
