Meridian Delegation Attends Bryant Summit
A policy summit Thursday called by Governor-elect Phil Bryant consisted of leaders from various fields around the state.
Mayor Cheri Barry served on the budget committee. Bruce Martin with Meyer and Rosenbaum Insurance, and city employee Kirk Thompson worked on the jobs committee, while Meridian lawyers Rick Barry and Beth Clay served on the health committee, and Meridian Star editor Freddie Carmichael worked on the education committee.
The summit was called by Bryant to help lay out his agenda for the 2012 legislative year.
